About

Who We Are

We are a non-denominational assembly of believers in Jesus Christ seeking to follow the pattern of the early church as described in Acts 2:41-47. We emphasize Biblical exegetical teaching, godly fellowship, communion, and prayer. “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). We gather to build up one another in the Lord and scatter to share the love of Christ with others.

What Do We Believe and Teach?

We believe in the Trinity, the verbal inspiration of the Scripture, the deity of Christ, His sinless life, His death as a substitute for sinners, His bodily resurrection, His literal return to reign on the earth, and salvation by grace through faith. We practice the church ordinances of the Lord’s Supper and believer’s baptism by immersion. We believe and teach the sovereignty of God in salvation and that God initiates a free will to respond to His commands. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” (Philippians 2:12)

Bible Reading

We offer many options to help organize personal and family Bible study.

The Lord’s Supper

The Lord’s Supper keeps the person and work of Christ at the center of the assembly’s worship. It helps maintain the purity of the assembly by providing a regular occasion for self-examination and confession. We find that observing communion weekly does not cause it to become routine or lose its meaning. Instead, the more we remember our Lord in this way, the more precious He becomes to us. “On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul talked with them…” (Acts 20:7).

Encouragement Hour

The goal of this meeting is to build relationships that can be vulnerable enough to confess faults to one another, pray with each other, and encourage each other on a deeper, personal level. “…encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the day drawing near” (Hebrews 10:25). “Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another…” (James 5:16).

Bible Memorization

Corporate memorization on select Scriptures each month aids our desire to meditate and to speak His Word to one another. “O my God, Your Law is within my heart. I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation” (Psalm 40:8-9).

Prayer

It is our desire to be devoted to prayer. “Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving” (Col. 4:2). “Pray without ceasing” (1 Thes. 5:17).

Missions

We love evangelism in every town, city, village, state, and nation. It is our joy to share our faith at home with our families, while we are doing business in our own area, and as we travel abroad. We pray that many of us and our children will be faithful to serve in this church here. We also pray that many of us will travel on to other places around the world in faithful service to our Lord and King. “And you shall be my witnesses…” (Acts 1:8)
